I come from a long line of artists, entrepreneurs, inventors, and independently-minded family. I began drawing and painting at a young age. My first artist mentor was my uncle in NYC (Stan Snyder ~ sculptor, potter). My second mentor was Robert Takatch, my high school commercial design teacher. He had a wonderful spirit and was an amazing watercolor painter. Over the years, I have developed my own style of watercolor painting. My artwork is rich in color, design, and splattered with remnants of artistic influences like Georgia O'Keefe, David Hockney, Sara Steele. I have been painting professionally since 1986, showing and selling in galleries in the New England area. Artistic themes include landscapes, still-life's, and florals. When I travel, I bring my mini-paint set and camera to gather as many inspirational ideas as possible. My gardens and the luscious country around me are often my inspiration for my artwork.
Since the 1990s I have been practicing yoga and in 2014, I completed the Kundalini Yoga Teacher training certification program and my artwork took an amazing turn towards creating Watercolor Mandalas. These designs are now available on clothing and on a variety of wearables and items to inspire your daily life.
