This year, Sherri Snyder took on a new "canvas base" for her watercolors. She explored "gourds". After visiting Amish Country in Ohio last year and buying a "bag of gourds", she began painting them and had a blast! In April, she entered two of these gourds into the Attleboro Arts Museum "FLOWER SHOW" and both sold. She is inspired by the unique shapes of the gourds that influence the design she paints. Each gourds is one-of-a-kind, individually hand-painted and then coated with an extra-strength outdoor poly-coat to protect it from the outdoor elements. (May 2010)
